The Scottish Government is changing the way that it licenses and regulates holiday lets, and prices are rising for licences starting 1 April 2022.

Edinburgh will be designated as a short-term let control zone. Properties that are not your primary home could require planning permission from Edinburgh Council (apply for your holiday letting licence here).
