About Spike Munro
Richard ‘Spike’ Munro is a former Drama teacher from Edinburgh, He left teaching to live and work in Istanbul for three years and on returning he has become a popular figure on the spoken word circuit. He has performed in bars, clubs, outdoor events, parties, festivals throughout Scotland and even in the Scottish Parliament. He is well known for his distinct Scottish vernacular with an ability to charm an audience with his engaging personality flitting between humour and pathos with the occasional dash of ribaldry and double entendre.
His first collection of poems was published by Rymour books in December 2020. He enjoys playing his piano and recently has been learning the Anglo German concertina.
